Daniel Theis is a German professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on April 4, 1992, in Salzgitter, Germany.

Theis began his professional basketball career with the Braunschweig Basketball in the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). He then moved to the Phoenix Hagen and played for the team from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Theis joined Brose Bamberg and won the BBL championship in 2015 and 2016. He also won the German Cup in 2015.

In 2017, Theis signed a contract with the Boston Celtics of the NBA. He played for the Celtics for four seasons before being traded to the Clippers in 2021.
